Molbak’s Night Out for Education Supports Teachers
Molbak’s Home & Garden hosted a “Night Out for Education” during Teacher Appreciation week and raised $3200 to benefit Northshore Schools Foundation’s Thriving Teachers Initiative.
Each quarter, Molbak’s closes their doors early to support local charities in a fun evening event of product samples, raffles, food, photo booth, wine and shopping with a discount. Ticket sales are allocated to the cause, and this May, in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, Molbak’s choose to partner with Northshore Schools Foundation. Winemaker Chris Gorman provided awesome wine and guests enjoyed samples from best selling items in the store, and the photo booth was a huge success.
Funds raised will be designated to support teacher training programs including National Board Teacher Certification, and Positive Behavior Intervention Systems for teachers district wide. Thriving teachers is one of the Northshore Schools Foundation main funding area and the will contribute more than $30,000 to support teacher training this school year.
“We are so grateful for the community support that Molbak’s provides,” said Carmin Dalziel Executive Director of the Northshore Schools Foundation. “We have important work to do for teachers We have important work to do for our students and one of the most effective way we can make a positive impact is by supporting teachers in their quests to become the best teachers they can be.”
