![]() LEARN MORE ABOUT ALINA Board Member Feature: Alina Araujo Welcome Alina to our 2025-26 Board! We’re proud to welcome her incredible talents. Read why she choose to dedicate time and service to the Foundation. “As a local resident and real estate advisor living and working in the Northshore community, and as a parent with children in Northshore Schools, I’m deeply committed to supporting our students. I believe in fostering opportunities that help every child succeed—whether through partnerships, volunteering, or helping schools thrive. Our kids are our future, and I’m proud to be part of a community that invests in them.” Alina’s background and education: “I’ve been working in real estate for almost 12 years, helping people buy and sell homes all over King and Snohomish Counties. But my experience goes way beyond just real estate—I bring over 25 years of combined experience in real estate lending, finance, and hospitality. That mix has really shaped how I show up for my clients: with knowledge, care, and a focus on making things as smooth and stress-free as possible.” |

Removing Barriers to Education |
![]() The Foundation is proud to have our Care Team Liaisons in all 36 NSD schools and programs. Started in 2018, Care Teams are designated NSD staff who nominate students in need for financial help. Most Care Team Liaisons are school staff members who have direct contact with students, such as counselors, nurses, and other support personnel. |
![]() Care Team Feature | Krisite M “I feel so blessed to have been the Care Team Liaison for the Northshore Schools Foundation for the past three years. Oftentimes the families we support are going through stressors and trauma…We all are better together, and the network of resources we can provide our families has given them a fighting chance through their adversity. The bonus of the Northshore Schools Foundation, through their basic needs/opportunity funds provided to each school has been a huge safety net for our families, when a need arises. Hearing a sigh of relief in the voices of our families when a need is met makes this role extra special.” -Kristie M |
